May I take this time to thank you
very much for visiting our website for Medcalf Acres Riverfront Campground and RV Park Resort in
the Town of Schroon Lake, in upstate NY. I have been camping since 1964. My first camping experiences were on the islands
of Lake George when my father took my family of 7 and our dog (black lab) out to Phantom Island for a month at a time
during the summer. It was beautiful and the memories have lasted for a life time. At Medcalf Acres Riverfront Campground
and RV Park Resort in Upstate NY, it is our intention to ensure that you can have the same camping experiences
that I had growing up. The camping did not stop there. I have been an avid camper/boater now for over 45 years. I have traveled
all over with many great friends over the years and have had loads of fun! If there is anything we can do to make your Adirondack
camping stay the most enjoyable and memorable, please do not hesitate to let us know.
If you want the Best
fishing, tubing, swimming, hiking nearby, canoeing, biking, rock climbing nearby, kayaking, camping, and more... in
the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, right here in Schroon Lake NY, you found it! Most
places charge extra for tubing! Not here! Bring your own tube and life jacket and it is free! It's part of your family
vacation! Need to borrow a tube and life jacket, only $10! Some of the best hiking in the North East is just a short
drive away! Schroon Lake Village has a free public boat launch and beautiful free public beach, only 4 miles away. Word
of Life only 4 miles away. Lake George Village 35-40 minutes away. Stone Caverns 20 minutes away.
Lake Placid around 1 hour away. Fort Ticonderoga 40 minutes away. We have it all! Adirondack
camping at Medcalf Acres Riverfront Campground is a welcome retreat.......nestled among the pine trees (100 year old plus
trees throughout, no open fields) with 1/2 mile riverfront on the sandy banks of the beautiful crystal-clear Schroon River
in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. If you want gorgeous Fall
Foliage then Medcalf Acres in Upstate New York is the place to stay!
With the changing of the color of the leaves in the fall you will experience beautiful, scenic views like no other!

All of the large picturesque Adirondack camp sites provide full
hookups and are large enough to accommodate almost any RV. Most of our riverfront and non-riverfront RV
sites are 2-3 times the size of lots in many other campgrounds! Don't have an RV? No problem.... there are also camping cabins
and luxury trailer available for rental. Don't forget to visit our Adirondack Store, "Denny's General Store".
Like to "rough it"? We have riverside camp tent sites, too!
We offer swimming,
fishing, canoeing, kayaking, tubing and more, on the sandy bottom, Schroon River. We have bass, trout, salmon
and other fish. All on a sandy basin with sandy beach areas. Walk on our Nature Beach to over 1000+ feet of beach
frontage facing west with the sun shining down upon you! Every Adirondack camp site has a picnic table and fire ring.
Whether it's for a night, a weekend, a week, or longer - even the entire season - Medcalf Acres Riverfront
Campground and RV Park Resort is the Adirondack campground to head to. The quiet, Adirondack, Upstate,
NY setting and family atmosphere make it the perfect camping vacation retreat! 2012 season
opens from 10:00am Friday May 18th, 2012 (the weekend before Memorial Day weekend) - Monday
October 8th, 2012, 5pm (Columbus Day), freezing weather permitted. Due to water pipes possibly freezing.
3 times during the summer on the Holiday weekends we have a huge Adirondack campground
celebration at our Community Center and the owner puts on a food fest. There is no charge for the party
to the campers who are camping with us that weekend. Please, all we ask is that you bring a dish to pass around. This
is a free event and we hope everyone that is camping that weekend at Medcalf Acres Riverfront Campground can make it! Next
camp party is on Sun. May 27th, 2012 5pm (Memorial Day weekend) and then Sun. July 1st, 2012 5pm (July 4th weekend) (Lots
of fun!) and then Sun. Sept. 2nd, 2012 5pm (Labor Day weekend) (Great food) Don't miss out on the "great" times
